Founded and led by Karl Colder, a former Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Senior Executive, our firm brings over 32 years of federal law enforcement experience to help organizations strengthen security, improve operational performance, and navigate complex challenges.

 

Who We Are:

Karl Colder served as Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Washington Division Office, overseeing a four-state region (MD, VA, WV, DC) with more than 1,000 personnel. His leadership included managing multi-million-dollar budgets, directing complex investigations, and fostering collaboration among federal, state, and local agencies. Prior to that, Karl was Deputy Chief Inspector of the DEA’s Office of Professional Responsibility, ensuring integrity and accountability at the highest levels.

Colder Allied Consulting has provided consultation services to Thomson Reuters, MITRE, Pathway Partners, LLC, and EagleForce Associates in their efforts to compete for federal, state, and local contracts.

Colder Allied consulting has also provided Subject Matter Expert services for DOAR and The Roundtable Group, and Gap Analysis Diversion Control audit services for US Pharmacopeia and GenCanna Global.

Karl has taught criminal justice courses at Loudoun County’s Monroe Advanced Technical Academy and served as Chief of Police in Huntington, West Virginia. He collaborates with communities, health providers, and non-profits to implement evidence-based strategies addressing substance use and promoting public safety. He served on the Commonwealth of Virginia Secure and Resilient Homeland Security Panel and contributes to mental health and addiction recovery initiatives through the Episcopal Church.

Through Colder Allied Consulting, Karl is a member of the Seton Hall University Police Graduate Studies Program Advisory Board and the Disasters Expo Advisory Board, and TagIt Technologies
